WELCOME!

Hi, I’m Lisa. I’m an artist based in the Pacific Northwest, and I’m endlessly inspired by the colors and light I find in nature. I love chasing those moments when a scene just feels happy and alive.

I create paintings that help to slow things down and share that feeling—simple, calm, and full of quiet joy. Thanks for being here!

About the Artist

Lisa Jones is an artist based in Puyallup Washington. She is inspired by the quiet beauty and ever-changing moods of the natural world. Lisa paints both outdoors and in her studio, finding joy in observing light, atmosphere, and the subtle details that bring a landscape to life.

From a young age, Lisa felt drawn to drawing and painting. After earning her Art degree from Brigham Young University, she continued developing a classical approach to oil painting, studying the techniques of past and contemporary masters who share her reverence for nature.

Today, Lisa’s work focuses on color, light, and the emotion they evoke. Her paintings are created with the hope of offering viewers a moment of calm—a pause from the pace of life to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with the quiet beauty around us.

Where It Started

Art has always felt like a natural way of seeing the world. From a young age, I was drawn to quiet moments, light filtering through trees, soft colors at sunset, and the stillness of a landscape that felt alive without needing to move.

I didn’t start with the goal of becoming an artist. I started because I felt something when I observed the world around me, and I wanted to hold onto it. Drawing and painting became a way to notice more, to slow down, and to capture what might otherwise pass by unnoticed.

Why I Continue

Over time, art became more than observation, it became a practice of presence. Whether I’m painting outdoors or in the studio, I’m constantly chasing light, color, and the feeling of a place in a specific moment.

I’m inspired by how quickly things change, like the way light shifts, or how colors soften or intensify. Scenes can feel completely different within minutes! Painting allows me to stay with those moments a little longer.

It’s not just about creating something beautiful, it’s about learning to see more deeply and translating that experience onto the canvas.

Why It Matters

My hope is that my paintings offer joy and a quiet pause.

Life moves quickly, and it’s easy to miss the small, beautiful moments that are always around us. Through my work, I want to create something that invites people to slow down and feel a sense of calm, warmth, or quiet joy.

If a painting can bring that feeling into someone’s home, or remind them of a place they love, then it’s done exactly what I hoped it would do.
